Low strength-Easy to disassemble Threadsealant

Low strength Loxeal threadsealants are used on fittings with low levels of vibration or impact. They are also used on large piping systems that need servicing and disassembly.

Medium Strength-Possible to disassemble Threadsealant

Loxeal medium strength threadsealants are recommended for applications where sealing and vibration resistance are important yet disassembly is required during its service life. They typically can withstand pressure of 500 bars and more.

High Strength-Permanent Locking Threadsealant

High strength Loxeal threadsealants are used on fittings and systems that undergo heavy duty vibration and impact where conventional methods and low strength sealants cannot work and disassembly for maintenance and service is not an important criterion.

Frequently asked questions

An aerobic threadsealant only cures in absence of air and presence of metal, hence any extra material that gets squeeze out from the threads and remains exposed to air will not cure. It does not mean that product between the threads has also not cured.

Use of Threadsealants on less active surfaces such a stainless steel, anodized aluminium,titanium or other passivated surfaces is very common. However,Anaerobicthreadsealants tend to cure slowly on these surface and use of Loxeal Primer-11 over passive surface can speed up the adhesive curing and is strongly recommended.

However prior testing should be conducted because anaerobic Primers can reduce the final locking strength.

Apply a bead of threadsealant on the thread next to leading thread in circular fashion so that entire circumference is covered. Further assemble the fittings as usual.
Typically Loxeal threadsealants can withstand pressure of more than 500bars.
Loxeal 58-11 and Loxeal 85-86 are formulated for use in Oxygen line and are BAM approved product. No other product should be used on pure oxygen line.
