We have recently commercially launched EL-1621HV, a two component, highly thixotropic, epoxy system that offers exceptional performance characteristics in a wide range of high end applications in the field of transportation, aerospace, optoelectronic, vacuum and composite manufacturing.
EL-1621HV is a toughened system that can withstand temperature range of -70°C to 204°C and exhibits extremely high lap shear strength of 3300psi. It is also capable of passing NASA standards of low outgassing (ASTM E-595) and has high thermal conductivity in the range of 1.4-1.5W/m.K
The product has been successfully implemented recently by manufacturers in different applications, two of the more prominent are:
- Side sealing and gap filling of large honeycomb structure in a metro rail application.
- Bonding of non-woven pads around high end lightning systems for acoustics and thermal management.
- Thermal management in heat exchanger.
