Sikaflex 221 is for sealing applications in automotive, transportation, Wind, Solar industry.
This application is successfully executed for sealing of a cable joint in an electric motor of a giant industrial fan. In many end use these fans are used in outdoor areas or in locations where rain water can come into contact through roof holes. It was found that water would generally find its way through the cable groove and seep inside the motor windings causing malfunction. The problem is resolved by a slight modification in design and using Sikaflex 221 Polyurethane sealant.

These walkways are manufactured in two parts and then joined by welding process. Welding leaves poor finish and uneven gaps even micro porosity that can lead to water seepage. Sikaflex 221 eliminates these problems by filling the pores, providing uniform finish and is paint-able post application. The final product is reliably leak proof and aesthetically appealing and long lasting
